A soil test will tell you if any nutrients are lacking or in excess. Over-watering and over-fertilzing will stop bloom production. Large leaves and no flowers is a sign of too much fertilizer. It’s best to fertilize just one time in spring or early summer. Phosphorous is the nutrient that encourages flowers. Also, be certain you aren’t cutting off the flower buds for this year or next. It’s recommended that they aren’t pruned after August 1. Endless Summer Hydrangeas prefer moist, but not wet soil.
