Question

CAN HYDRANGEAS GROW IN SOUTHERN FLORIDA?

Answer

Great question!

You will probably find your area is too hot for hydrangeas. If you are like me and want to try for yourself and see what happens, here’s a few suggestions. Plant it in a container where you can move it around to find the best spot. A place in the garden or patio with morning sun and afternoon shade is ideal. Plant it so there is room at the top of the container for deep watering and also a layer of mulch. Plan to water thoroughly twice a day.
