That’s a great question. It’s important to avoid digging too deep of a hole for any plant. Try to keep the soil level at the same place in the ground that it is in the container. When you bury the base of a plant with too much soil or a heavy amount of mulch, the base of the stems or trunk will rot. The base of the plant should be level with the ground.
