Question

IS IT OKAY TO HAVE BARE ROOT PLANTS SHIPPED TO ME?

Answer

That’s a tricky question, and it really depends on the time of year, but in the early spring, buying a bare root tree can be a good way to go. Especially, if you don’t have a garden center in your area with a plant you want. On the other hand, shipping bare root trees in the heat of the summer probably should be avoided. If you go with a bare root tree, follow the nursery’s directions and take good care of it. The tree may need some extra TLC the first year.
