Question

IS IT POSSIBLE TO TRANSPLANT AN ENDLESS SUMMER THE ORIGINAL THAT IS SEVERAL YEARS OLD? I DON’T THINK ITS GETTING ENOUGH SUN TO ENCOURAGE BLOOMING.

Answer

Transplanting your Endless Summer Hydrangea is a good idea. And, you are right, it does need some sun to grow flowers. Now, while it is just starting to grow leaves, is a great time to transplant it. Follow the directions in our planting and care guide for finding a new home and preparing the soil. If the hydrangea is quite large and you are afraid of breaking branches in the move, it’s ok to trim them back some. Take care to keep the soil around the roots when digging it out of its current home. In the new spot, be certain to pack in the soil around the roots, water well, and mulch. Then, continue following the instructions in the guide. It should then settle in just fine.
