I am interested in planting Distyllium shrubs in Southern Utah where they are not readily available. The two varieties that I can attain are Vintage Jade and Cinnamon Girl. There is conflicting information available on the mature size. Which of these varieties can I more readily maintain at 2′ high and 4′ wide?

Hello. Just purchased a Sweet Tea Gardenia from Lowe’s. We live in Zone 7. May I grow Sweet Tea in a large container or do you recommend in-ground? Thanks so much. We love First Editions, we have many Sapphire Surf Caryopteris and just put in five Delta Blue Chaste shrubs.

I have 4 SNOWBERRY/ CANDY CORALBERRY. Two look great while one is almost nonexistent (very few leaves and kind of a dull green with some brown and only 6” tall compared to others that are 2.5’ at least). This is year 3 and over the winter each year it seems and animals (deer or rabbit?) are eating all the berries off and chewing the stems down. The shrub that is the worst seemed to have gotten chewed down the most in the winter. Will it never come back?

Should my Easy Elegance shrub be pruned in the fall?

Love hydrangeas but having a terrible time getting my shrubs to bloom They haven’t produced blooms in a few years I also bought some new ones this year and have them in containers I snipped the blooms off them when they faded and now the plants haven’t rebloomed. Would deadheading affect their ability to rebloom? I am considering leaving them in containers since I have had poor luck with my planted shrubs Any tips for containers? I desperately need some blooms!

What is a good shrub to plant now in mid-June when temps are in the 70s to 90? Morning sun, afternoon shade.

Hi purchased beginning of may and the shrub has a couple of full grown roses. We had a late spring frost and ever since the roses that do bloom currently are small and petals just fal right off. Is this normal?

I JUST RECEIVED 3 LARGE, BEAUTIFUL BLUSHING BRIDE PLANTS. I LIVE IN NYC AND HAVE TO USE CONTAINERS. CAN I USE STANDARD MIRACLE-GRO POTTING SOIL? OR DO I NEED A DIFFERENT MIXTURE? SHOULD I USE A MIXTURE FOR TREES AND SHRUBS? I WANT TO MAINTAIN THE BEAUTIFUL CREAM COLOR OF THE FLOWERS! THANK YOU SO MUCH!

I WOULD LIKE TO PLANT MY ENDLESS SUMMER HYDRANGEAS AGAINST MY HOUSE TO APPEAR AS ONE LARGE SHRUB. THE AREA OF COVERAGE IS 12.6 FEET LONG. HOW MANY PLANTS DO I NEED AND HOW FAR APART SHOULD THE SPACING BE FOR THEM TO BLEND TOGETHER WHILE PROVIDING ENOUGH ROOM TO GROW?
