Question

One of my rose bushes looks like it is being eaten by bugs. What should I do?

Answer

Have you seen any insects? It’s that time of year when Japanese beetles are showing up in gardens and chewing on leaves and flowers. The beetles can be picked off plants and dropped in soapy water. Aphids and other insects also cause damage to leaves. I recommend you take a sample of the damage to your garden center for help identifying the pest and information on both organic and non-organic methods of battling insects.
