Question
SOMETHING IS KILLING MY LILY BULBS. MY MINIATURE ROSE BUSH LEAVES ARE TURNING BROWN.
Answer
Poor drainage can cause problems with plants and turn the leaves brown. First, check the soil to see if it is holding too much moisture. If so, lift your rose bush, amend the soil and replant following our rose care guide. Brown leaves in the spring can also be caused by a sudden drop in temperature. The problem with your lily bulbs could also be poor drainage. Or, it could be a rodent snacking on them. I hope it isn’t a rodent. Poor drainage is a much easier problem to solve.
