Question

WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO SUCCESSFULLY TRANSPLANT VINTAGE JADE DISTYLIUM?

Answer

Great question!

I would wait until the weather improves in early spring. Water the distylium if the ground is dry. It will help to hold the dirt next to the roots. Get the new holes ready and add some compost. Dig up the shrubs and try to keep as much dirt as possible with the root ball. Then, move them to their new homes. Pack in the dirt around the roots and try to avoid having any air pockets in the hole. Water well and mulch. Then, be certain they receive adequate watering through this first year in their new homes.
