Why is my Japanese yew turning light tan?

That’s not good. It’s probably a sign that the yew isn’t getting enough water. If it is a newly planted, you will need to water it several times a week during hot, dry spells. Then, gradually stretch it out to once a week. It’s better to give it a good soaking at the roots rather than lightly water.
