My roses aren’t thriving. What can I do?

Thinking of putting some beautiful hydrangeas in my home in Zone 7a. Do they need full sun or part?

Do you think Italian Cypress trees could grow in Nashville? I have an eye sore I’m the backyard that I’m trying to cover with plants; I’ve planted Little Gem Magnolias, but I’m concerned I planted them too far apart. I was considering planting the Tall skinny Cypress trees in between to help fill it in. Here is a picture. I just read online they do better in more southern climates.

I planted 2 Easy Elegance® roses this spring, but I’ve seen no signs of new growth. They are in full sun, and I have tried to keep them well watered. Would cutting them back a bit prompt new growth?

I planted my BloomStruck® Hydrangea where there is mostly shade all day. No morning sun and a short period of time with afternoon sun however the afternoon sun hits when it’s not at its hottest or highest. Will it be ok in this spot?
